Lots of folks are suffering bad now with something you see but don't see. All together it looks yellow. Pollen of course is making our world a bit tinted toward the yellow side at least until it rains. Then we have a clean sort of day until it starts up again. The effects of the pollen are tough on some folks. Running noses, watery eyes and a lot of sneezing and coughing are common for many. The world sort of looks the same but the pollen is covering everything.
Sin sort of affects the world the same way. It seems to creep in and blows all over everything and every person. Some seem affected by it more than others. It makes the world look different until the grace and mercy of Jesus cleanses us then things can look clean again.
It is a weak analogy for sure, but when you do go to the Lord and cry out "forgive me" Lord there is a cleansing and if you have experienced it, then you know the freshness of it. If you have sin you also know how you can keep on going in doing your daily things, but there seems to be a film of nasty on your life because of some sin in your life. This world we live in today is full of pollen and sin. The rain tomorrow will clean up the pollen and in this moment the prayer from your heart will clean up the sin.
8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts. 1 John 1:8-10 NLT
