It would be easy to overlook the big hawk in the picture above. You may not have seen him at first glance, but he is right in the middle of the photo. I took this photo several weeks ago at my mother's house in Smyrna, and I wanted to write a word about him. The reason that I did not miss him was because when I took the photo he was loudly calling as a hawk can sometimes do. He was almost right over me.
He was a magnificent creature. His wing span was I am guessing about 5 feet. He sat calling out his message for a few minutes and then he was gone. What I really almost missed was the second one sitting above him in the same tree. She is not in the picture. But I sat and looked for several minutes and took the photo you see before I even saw her. She moved first and when she did move of course I saw her and was surprised because I did not even know she was there. But she just move from one tree to the next. The photo below is this beautiful lady sitting on a limb now in plain sight just long enough for me to get a quick photo of her.
So many people in our lives are like this. Easily missed. They may be doing something important and be very near to you. Some may be even speaking to you, but we live in our own world taking care of ourselves and fail to see and appreciate others.
Just a thought about taking time to learn other's story. See life for just a moment from their point of view. They might not stand out from their surroundings but their movement for the Lord may be beautiful.
