Isaiah 49:6 tells the prophet he is to be a light to the nations, and so should each of us that know the grace of the Lord. This is indeed the greater task to which we should aspire. Isaiah was shortsighted and thought he was only a minister to the Hebrews but God said that task was ...Too Small A Thing... and that He would be a witness to the enitre earth. And so he wrote a book we read 2700 years later.

I Have Seen This Before and It Makes A Mess

Have you ever said these words. "I have seen this before and it makes a mess." You might be talking about most anything, Silly String, glitter or frying bacon. It seems to get things done sometimes you have to make a mess. This is really true with drilling a well. I wish I could send you pictures this morning of the process of well drilling that I am working on today but I cannot as I have no internet connection. So I thought about what I was going to be doing this morning when you read the blog and wrote about what I would be helping to do. And that would be making a mess drilling a well.

Now I will post some photos in a few days when I get back to internet world. But for now you just get the ugly photo above when I went to a well drilling school a few years back and learned real quick that well drilling is messy business. Two pits, a lot of water and a big pump to keep it all moving keep the mud flowing and that is the key to getting the dirt out of the hole you are drilling in the ground.

I ask for your prayers today as I am on the rig, walking in the mud, drilling for clean water for some beautiful people to drink.
