Isaiah 49:6 tells the prophet he is to be a light to the nations, and so should each of us that know the grace of the Lord. This is indeed the greater task to which we should aspire. Isaiah was shortsighted and thought he was only a minister to the Hebrews but God said that task was ...Too Small A Thing... and that He would be a witness to the enitre earth. And so he wrote a book we read 2700 years later.

Such a Great Privilige

Sometimes I cannot believe that God is so good to me to allow me the privilege to be a part of things way cooler than I would ever think up or plan. Last night I was a part of the "Law Enforcement Date Night." We planned to have a special evening to challenge and have fun men and women who serve in Law Enforcement in our area. The Lord sent us about 70 couples. It was so much fun. But it was also so important as I had the privilege to speak to these who serve us in the public safety area about their marriage and putting Jesus Christ first in their lives. Thanks Glenn Chappelear for putting this thing together and making it happen in such a great way. Glenn proved as you can see from the photo of him and his lovely wife Donna that he could be a game show host if he ever leaves the ministry. The Oldie Wed Game was a hoot. Thanks to Sherriff Neal Warren and his wife Penny, Captain David Ellis and his wife Cathy, and Deputy Chief Tim Cox and His wife Jenny, who were our contestants. And Special Guest of the evening were Boston Red Sox Steve Drew and His wife Laura who spoke about their faith and how money or fame will not make your marriage work but a firm foundation in Jesus Christ will secure your life and your marriage.

What a privilege for me to get to speak then on the subject "So You Married a Cop." I challenged the officers in three areas of their married life. The Badge and how it affects their marriage, The Bed and how important intimacy is in marriage, and the Bible and how life can and likely will fall apart without bedrock of Truth.

I used three videos from you tube that some may want to see again as they were a hoot. About a minute and a half each they are worth watching and sharing so I thought I would post links here. Side note: When I first showed Glenn the Heritol video he said, "I know the guy in white jacket." He was a friend of his and sent him a text that we were using the video. Glenn never ceases to amaze me. Thanks again Glenn for your commitment to Christ and I think what I am amazed at is how God is using you.
