Yesterday was a huge day for my Mom and all of us as a family. We moved Mom back to where she grew up in Ellijay GA. It is the first big step in the process of Kathy and I moving to Ellijay too. It will probably take a year of more for us to get ourselves up there, but moving mom was the first step.
This was the 4th time I have moved mom since she went into assisted living and hopefully the last. I cannot say enough good things about where mom left yesterday at Elmcroft SR Living in Marietta. They were very good to mom. This was by far the best of the situations mom had been in and I want to say a very public thank you to the all the staff at this wonderful place.
But we have moved her to Cameron Hall Senior Living in Ellijay, They were fantastic yesterday and have blessed us through the whole process to welcome us to the community. I think mom will do well. A brother, sister and lots of nieces, nephews and cousins are much closer to visit her in Ellijay. It is a huge process to move mom. Not only to move the stuff but to change doctors and pharmacy is a major task too. Her new Dr is Dr. Brittany Martin in Ellijay and she was wonderful. The Pharmacy is Huff Drugs and they were so nice. But the team of workers at Cameron were outstanding. Here are photos of mom leaving Elmcroft, taking her first meal at Cameron, a selfie with the moving team, her wall display, and then in her new room. What a day. Thank you Lord for your blessings.
