Working with my hands in an environment completely removed from the church and where I am not "the preacher" is different for me to say the least. But what God has put in my heart is still the same. I must share Jesus, but it must be carefully and lovingly done one on one, when the opportunity is there. To walk in and try to preach, or to set myself up as an example to be followed to a group, is pointless. I am working with men who need to see me for who I am, a forgiven and truly blessed sinner saved by grace.
1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 NASB 9 Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; 10 for indeed you do practice it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, to excel still more, 11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, 12 so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need.
Each of us has opportunity every day to speak a word of truth to others about what we truly believe on the inside. I am praising God for every opportunity He makes for me to share His love and His truth with others. Are you making the most of the situation that you are in? I am asking God to show me the one who needs encouragement and the truth of the Word of God spoken into their life today.
God's word is always true. There is always hope. Joy and peach can be found in all circumstances, but you must trust the Lord and be led by the Holy Spirit. I am very thankful for work. I am thankful for those who I have the opportunity to speak truth to today.
