When I was a kid I used to love the occasional puzzle that I would find where you connect the dots. It was pretty simple you start at one draw a line to two and then on to three and so on. When you connect all the dots you have a picture of something.
Do you sometimes feels you are going from point A to point B with no rhyme or reason as to why. Then on to point C and then D but you sort of just trudge on not really giving a thought as to the pattern. I suggest you are making a pattern with you life like a huge connect the dots drawing. The reality is the color, intensity, and shape of the line matter too. Everyday we make a part of the picture and we have freedom to connect the dots because we make a whole lot of the dots.
God has given us some of the dots. He has a purpose and a calling for us to make the most beautiful picure of life. When I was a kid if I skipped a number it seemed to mess up the picture. Try as I might the line that was out of place seemed to always detract from the drawing when finished.
Well you know as well as I that in our connect the dots life drawing that I have conjered up this morning we have a whole lot of lines out of place. But God has a way of removing the bad lines, the mess ups, and they fade out as we start following the path He has for us so that the beautiful picture will emerge.
I know life is not as simple as a conncet the dots picture but sometimes we feel we have to just get from point 1 to point 2 today. This being said we need to make sure that the Lord is the one labeling the points.
By the way you can play connect the dots on line at http://www.coloring4all.com/dot_to_dot.htm
