We left out Wednesday and arrived on Thrusday afternoon with 580 miles more on the odometers of our bikes a whole bunch of rain on our rainsuits and big grins on our faces. It was just fun despite the rain from time to time (actually several hours at a time). The photo below was of Me, Kent and Josh Brummeler as we started out on Thrusday. Alan Hooper caught us in KY and we journeyed on through Ky and IN looping back in to Ohio late Thrusday. What a great Ride.
A small group is headed up to Monroe Ohio and this is a first going by way of Motor cycles. Ken Brummeler, Josh Brummeler, Alan Hooper and Scotty Davis are setting out for a little relaxation on the way to the work at the First Baptist Church. The Advance team will start work on Friday with the main team coming in on Saturday night. Pray for the group as they travel today.
The trip to Musawas was a huge sucess. There are very few times when we have opportunity to return to places in short term missions and do basicly the same thing. But this was the case as the BHBC team was there to do a second medical clinic three years after the first, however with a big differnce. Three years ago a church was established when a handful of believers came to Christ. The community recognized the fact that this team came at the invitation of the new church. And this time the community received the team with open arms and a full endorsement. An offical letter of the community leaders was written to the team and the gave appreciation to the pastor and church for their role in the medical team coming. The first night after clinic we had a service in the church and the second and third night we were able to show the Jesus film first in the church and then on the basketball court at the school. probally nearly two hundred attended. Plans are being made for the future and there will be opportunity for many more people here to become involved in the work oif God to reach the Mayangna people.
