It has been several days since I brought forth any great wisdom into the cyberspace. I hope you have not suffered from boredom during the interlude, after all the world has continued since I last wrote. There has been a whole bunch of stuff that has happened. Like for one thing we have in the USA elected a new president. Now we have discovered that Sarah Palin was not the nice lady that we all thought that she was. (If you believe the guys that are getting ready to write books.)
President elect Obama is facing a big task. He has a new government to set up. He is already facing challenges from those who will test his metal and see if he is up to the task. Israel is watching and Russia is already threating. The stock market went into the hole two days in a row. There is talk of all three US auto makers going bankrupt and who knows how many banks will fail.
Things are in bad shape. Lets blog something better.............
So.... I got to marry a nice young couple Saturday. A neat outdoor Fall wedding. Surrounded by Mountains and friends I pronounced Blake Chambers and Dana Lester to be husband and wife. Dana was so cool she had a big White horse drawn carriage that brought her and her dad to the top of the hill where the wedding was happening, while everyone watched. It was neat.
The real reason I have had the blogging blues is that I have put about 60 hours in in 5 days on a rewrite on my Doctor of Ministry Project. I had talked to my professors on Thursday a week ago, and found out I needed to do a bunch. So I did. The last two nights have been spent reading it out loud to Kathy,so we could try to correct every error and misspelling and unclear thought in the document. What a bunch of work. I will be going to SEBTS next Wednesday to stand Oral Defense on the project. If all goes well graduation day is Dec 12.
Dad shot a deer....but they did not find it. (Yeah for those of you who know how bad he has been he is still using a cane some, but he is so much better). I am going to Florida with Bob In a little while to make a delivery to the cape (yeah he is better also.)(and yes we are driving down and back in about 20 Hours)
Kids are all fine .....Kathy is prettier than ever..and ....I guess that sort of That about catches you up for the last week of my life.
With all the bad news there is usually some Good news so...
One more major thing Jesus is still Lord.
